Golden DeliciousDelicious in it's name says it all for the Golden Apple. A favorite snacking apple, the firm white flesh of the apple retains its shape and rich mellow flavor when baked or cooked, making it the preferred all purpose cooking apple. It's skin is so tender and thin it does not require peeling for most recipes.
The Golden Delicious first appeared around 1900 in West Virginia on the Mullin's Farm.
