Honey Crisp

Like the name, Honey Crisp is sweet like honey and explosively crisp. It was created in 1960 at the University of Minnesota as a cross between Macoun and Honeygold. It was introduced on the commercial market in 1991.

The Honey Crisp has a complex sweet-tart flavor and is growing in popularity with its crunch, texture, juiciness and mildly aromatic flavor.

Usage: Snack, salads, and cooking.
